During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and dinner that were creative and well-prepared. The key location near the idyllic settings made it feel like a little piece of paradise. I enjoyed spending time in the public areas, particularly the outstanding pool area.
I was disappointed that the room I reserved did not have a view over the pool area as confirmed in my reservation. there was no backup electricity during the load shedding, which I would have expected for a hotel of this caliber.

This hotel offers great value for money. The rooms are beautifully decorated with attention to detail, including complimentary sweets, poems, and drinks. The staff are professional, attentive, and helpful, going the extra mile to provide delicious meals even during challenging times. The location is fantastic, just a short walk away from the beach. The breakfast is diverse and exceeds expectations, with a variety of options including fresh fruits, muesli, different types of bread, and even dietary supplements like soy or almond milk. this hotel provides excellent service, basic amenities, and rooms with a view over the pool area.
Everything was perfect, no room for improvement.

The hotel was stunningly beautiful and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally kind and professional, and the food was creative and delicious. We also loved the location, which provided a peaceful oasis within the city.
The soundproofing in the rooms was not great, and we were woken up very early by noise from the neighboring room. while everything else was excellent, the price was a bit high for our budget.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the location was fantastic - just a short walk down to the beach. The hotel facilities were excellent - I especially loved the rain shower in my room. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delicious. I also appreciated the convenient parking and transportation options.
Nothing that I didn't like.

During my recent stay at The Old Rectory, I was truly impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. One evening, when all the restaurants in the area were closed, the kitchen at The Old Rectory went above and beyond to reopen and provide us with a delicious meal in front of the fire. It was a truly memorable dining experience that showcased their dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction. The staff's commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of our stay, from the personalized touches in the room to their friendly and professional demeanor. The atmosphere may have been quiet since we were the only guests, but the staff's upbeat and welcoming nature made us feel right at home. I also have to commend the hotel manager for her hands-on approach and exemplary service. I would highly recommend The Old Rectory based on their exceptional hospitality and commitment to making every guest feel special.
